Secure Systems Awarded CA Grant

Innovation, Industry, Science and Research Minister, Senator Kim Carr, today announced that 22 Australian researchers, individuals and businesses would share in funding of over $8 million to help transform their projects into commercial successes. Secure Systems was one of the successful applicants.
“There is a great range of new and exciting ideas in this country, but the pathway to the market can be difficult to navigate,” Senator Carr said.

Results of Round 14 have been announced.
Australian companies will receive up to $13 million to research and develop technology for future defence application. Eight innovative proposals have been selected this year to be developed through Round 14 of the Capability and Technology Demonstrator Program.
Tactronics Integrates SDV

Tactronics Australasia has opted to integrate Secure Systems’ Silicon Data Vault (SDV) secure data storage technology to protect data generated and used by the Tactronics’ TAC-SINe system. The SDV provides hardware-based encryption and access controls to enforce strong data protection.

Saab has opted to use the High Grade Silicon Data Vault® (SDV) to simplify the storage and transportation of classified data. The High Grade SDV, which was designed and developed in Perth by Secure Systems Limited, allows Secret data to be treated as if it were Restricted and Confidential data to be treated as Unclassified.
NEW DEFENCE TECHNOLOGY PROPOSALS

Greg Combet, Minister for Defence Personnel, Materiel and Science, today announced that new technology that promises to significantly reduce the risks for Navy divers is among seven technology proposals to be funded by Defence.
“I congratulate the seven companies for their innovative proposals which will be developed under the Capability & Technology Demonstrator (CTD) Program managed by the Defence Science and Technology Organisation,” Mr Combet said.
